A 32-year-old Green Bay woman was cited for inattentive driving for her role in a two-vehicle crash that left a 63-year-old Sturgeon Bay man injured in the town of Sevastopol Saturday afternoon.
The crash occurred shortly after 2 p.m. on State Highway 42 near Cherry Road. According to the crash report, the Sturgeon Bay man was waiting to turn into his driveway when the Green Bay woman rear-ended his vehicle.
The woman told responding deputies she was reaching for her coffee and did not realize the man had stopped with his turn signal on while waiting to turn.
The crash damaged both vehicles and left the man with a small cut on his hand. EMS evaluated both drivers and the woman’s two passengers, but no one required hospitalization.
Cleanup took approximately 30 minutes, with the Door County Sheriff’s Office clearing the scene before 2:45 p.m.
