Southern Door to host new tours

Category: Local News

Two of the Door peninsula’s living and breathing agricultural products - cows and fish - were the focus of the Southern Door Fall Farms and Fisheries tour on Tuesday.

This is the second trial run of agricultural, cultural and historical tours the Southern Door Business Association is planning to host in 2027. This tour stopped at Brey Cycle Farms near Forestville, Doorco Holsteins in Brussels, and Lindal Fisheries near Little Sturgeon Bay.

Karyn Stroschein, community engagement coordinator for the Southern Door Business Association, and owner of Sand Bay Beach Resort near Little Sturgeon Bay, is the organizer of these tours and talked about why the SDBA is hosting them.

The success and media interest of the first two tours has encouraged Stroschein and the SDBA to pursue offering the tours during the summer and fall. The plan is to use Door County trolleys for transportation during the tours.
