Businesses involved with Door County’s family-friendliest of the big fall festivals have already rolled out the pumpkins, and they’re ready for revelers to arrive.
This year’s Pumpkin Patch in Egg Harbor begins festivities at 9 a.m. this Saturday and Sunday. The family focus is even more tuned in this year, says Kevin Wehrenberg, President of the Egg Harbor Business Association (EHBA), which organizes and hosts Pumpkin Patch. That means more rides by the Kress Center (corner of Orchard and Church Streets).
Fresh food offerings coming from a food truck court near Shipwrecked (corner of Cty G and Hwy 42) will open up space in Harbor View Park for festival goers, Wehrenberg explained.
Live music, carnival rides, a large arts and crafts vendor fair, face painting, pumpkin and scarecrow displays throughout the village, a roaming magician, kids games and activities, bucket and 50-50 raffles, are the entertainment offered this weekend.
The festival is fun for all ages, Wehrenberg said, which means its serving its purpose of bringing people to the Village, to Door County, and into businesses. The money earned at Pumpkin Patch helps EHBA help the communityl
