Winnie the Pooh and friends will receive a special package of more than 130 letters in the coming days, sent after a month-long celebration in Door County of Pooh's 100th anniversary.
Door County Library Director Dominic Frandrup talked about the various letter submissions, and how they came to land in the Winnie-Pooh-Looza mailboxes.

from children across Door County. Letters and drawings were collected during October in special boxes at libraries and Write On, Door County, with contributions from family letter-writing sessions, classroom assignments and a class at Northern Door Children’s Center. The letters were part of Winnie-Pooh-Looza, the monthlong celebration of the 100th anniversary of A.A. Milne’s Winnie-the-Pooh organized by the Friends of Door County Libraries.
Frandrup said Washington Islanders got very involved, going so far as to re-name the town for a day on October 14 to '100 Acre Wood' to celebrate the 100th anniversary of publication.
