Local Elections: Lauder, Ledvina wins clerk of circuit court races

While the elections for state offices grabbed many of the headlines, there was plenty on the ballot for voters to have their say closer to home.

In addition to Curt Vandertie's win in the Door County sheriff's race, Shannon Lauder defeated Becky Rericha 9,653-7,767 to win the race for Door County clerk of circuit court.

In Kewaunee County, Eric Zellner was officially elected sheriff after winning the Republican primary in August. He received 8,390 votes, while his primary opponent, Scott Szydel, received 259 votes as a registered write-in candidate. Rory A. Groessl (coroner) and Jennie Ledvina (clerk of circuit court) won their uncontested races.
