United Way, NWTC partners for early childhood education certificate opportunity

Category: Local News

If you think you might do well teaching in an early childhood classroom, United Way of Door County and Northeast Wisconsin Technical College can help you explore that possibility.

Thanks to funding from the Raibrook Foundation and Goodwill North Central Wisconsin, United Way and NWTC will offer an Early Childhood Education Certificate program that will allow students to earn two early childhood education certificates and qualify to work at child care centers in Door County. The grant funding allows prospective students to attend tuition-free.

This is the third time United Way of Door County and NWTC have offered the program, and Child Care Community Coordinator Molly Gary believes it has been a successful partnership.

Classes begin Nov. 17 and will meet Tuesdays and Thursdays from 1 to 5 p.m. through May 6 at NWTC's Sturgeon Bay campus. More information is available by clicking here.
