Rosalie Boudreau

Rosalie Boudreau, 91, Republican City, NE, and Door County passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, July 28, 2026 in Hastings, NE. She was born July 25, 1935 in Maplewood to Joseph and Barbara (Blahnik) Shestock. As a young girl she grew up on the family farm in Maplewood. She attended a rural 3-room school house in Maplewood for her first eight years. She graduated from Algoma High School in 1953. Rosalie wanted to travel so she took a job selling magazines door to door in 37 different states for one year. Then she came home and married Allen Boudreau, August 20, 1955, whom she had met a year earlier from her travels. The couple moved to Nebraska in February where Rosalie met Allen's family. She got as job sewing garments at the Mode O' Day garment factory. In the 1960's Rosalie changed jobs and worked at the Sears Catalog Store in Hastings, for about seven years as the Credit Manager and then Assistant Manager. Rosalie decided to go back to school at the Central Community College in Hastings and received her degree in Business Management. She was in the first graduating class of 1968. She also had a part time job at the Post Office working nights. Her and Allen did a lot of traveling over the years and had many rental properties in Hastings. When they retired they bought a home in Republican City, NE which she still owns today. Rosalie would spend three weeks to a month in Palm Springs every February. Rosalie has been collecting antiques for over 30 years, now, and has owned and operated the Peninsula Antique Center in Egg Harbor since 2013. She also had the Lighthouse Museum in Republican City, NE. All the antiques range from the 1800's to the 1970's. Rosalie's benchmarks in life were: Faith in God, education, valuing work, patience and persistence. She is survived by her two nephews Keven Brans, Republican City, NE and Mark Brans, Green Bay. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Allen, sister Mary Ann (Jack) Brans, nephew Craig Brans
