Kevin P. Nell, 43, of Forestville, passed away on Aug. 18, 2026, at Aurora Baycare Medical Center. He was born Sept. 7, 1982, in Green Bay to James and Debra (Wery) Nell. Kevin was currently employed at Fincantieri Bay Shipbuilding in Sturgeon Bay, where he worked in the boat yard as a welder and machinist. Kevin was a talented mechanic who could make or fix anything. He was a fantastic uncle and a person who would drop everything to help anyone in need. Survivors include his parents: Jim and Debra Nell; sister: Karen (Dan) Lipinski; nephew: Jesse; nieces: Rachael and Michelle Lipinski; aunts and uncles: Diane Wery, Julie Cole, Dennis Wery, Nancy Anderson, David Wery and Chris Crass; he is further survived by cousins, many friends, and his dog Rosco. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents: Orland and Evie Nell; maternal grandparents: Kenneth and Marion Wery; an aunt: Mary Wery; and uncles: Mark Cole, Jim Anderson and James Crass. Funeral services will be 6:30 pm Tuesday, August 25, 2026 at the Forbes Funeral Home with the Rev. William Brunner officiating. Burial will be in the Holy Name of Mary Church Cemetery at a later date. Friends may call at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 pm until 6:30 pm. Kevin’s family would like to thank his co-workers at Bay Shipbuilding for their quick action during his medical emergency. They administered CPR and had personnel on scene as soon as possible.
