Carolyn A. Hill, 87, of Sturgeon Bay, passed away on Aug. 18, 2026, at St. Vincent Hospital in Green Bay. She was born July 27, 1939, in Ashland, Wisconsin to Joseph and Audrey (Bakley) Wyszynski. On April 4, 1959, she married Reynold Hill in Ashland. Together they raised 3 children and were married for 52 years. Rey preceded her in death on Sept. 21, 2011. In addition to being an exceptional homemaker and cook, Carolyn had several different jobs including a position she enjoyed with Munsing Wear in Minneapolis. She and her husband also established a cleaning business while living in Denver. Most of their lives were spent in Oulu, Wisconsin where they made many good friends and finished raising their children. They retired to Sturgeon Bay to be near family. Carolyn was a very social person who had a great sense of humor and a quick wit. She enjoyed visiting with others and was a great conversationalist. She loved playing cards and board games and especially loved spending time with her granddaughters. She is survived by her two sons, John (Cindy) Hill, of Sturgeon Bay and Donald (Carrie) Hill of Forestville; 2 granddaughters, Jacquelyn and Gracielinn Hill; brother David (Jeannie) Wyszynski; 2 sisters, Leone and Phyllis. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, daughter Nancy, grandson Jacob, and sister Roberta. A memorial service will be conducted at Forbes Funeral Home on Friday, August 28, 2026, at 11:00 am. Visitation will be from 10:00 am that day until the time of service. A church service will also be held at Hope Church in Oulu, WI on Saturday, August 29, 2026, at 11:00 am with burial in Pine Glade Cemetery in Oulu, Wisconsin. Friends may call at the church on Saturday from 10:00 am until the time of service.
